Olúṣẹ́gun Ṣóẹ̀tán Publishes a journal article on Tunde Kelani's cinematic work. The article entitled, “The Dissident Auteur: Tunde Kelani and the Corporatization of Nollywood’s Economy” underscores the politics of cultural production in postcolonial Nigeria and the marginalization of auteur filmmakers who make films that curate African cultures. In critical terms, the article contextualizes the recent corporate “takeover” of the Nollywood industry by international sponsors and corporate agency and reimagines the long-term consequences of selective creative nurturing
